The Korea Semiconductor Industry Association has upgraded the forecast for the export value of semiconductor offerings in 2005 by 4.2%. The Association now forecasts the export value going up to US$30 billion, an increase of 13.1% in comparison with the US$26.5 billion of semiconductor exports in 2004. In the first half of 2005, export value amounted to US$14.9 billion, marking the best first-half year performance in Korea's history. The forecast for the second half of 2005 is US$15 billion.
